Baltimore, MD – Today, Maryland State Senator Charles Sydnor and former State Senator Nathaniel McFadden announced their endorsement of Sean D. Burns for Delegate (District 46), highlighting his longstanding reputation as a servant leader.

Citing their relationship of over “two decades,” State Senator Charles Sydnor (D-District 44, Baltimore City and Baltimore County) praised Burns’ reputation. “Sean is a problem solver and I have full faith that, if given the opportunity, he will represent the residents of District 46 well.”

“I am proud to endorse Sean D. Burns for the Maryland House of Delegates,” said The Honorable Nathaniel J. McFadden, former President Pro Tem of the Maryland State Senate who previously represented Maryland’s 45th Legislative District in Baltimore City. “I have known Sean since he was 13 years old, when he would shadow his uncle former Mayor Clarence ‘Du’ Burns around the city. These endorsements are the latest in a growing number of elected officials who are putting their support behind Burns’ campaign to replace Brooke Lierman in the House of Delegates. Congressmen Kweisi Mfume and Dutch Ruppersberger have endorsed Burns along with Delegates Jazz Lewis, Tony Bridges, Alonzo Washington, and Rachel Jones, and Baltimore City Council MembersJohn T. Bullock and Antonio Glover. In addition, Burns has received numerous endorsements from community leaders, educators, and small business owners in the district.

These endorsements are the latest in a growing number of elected officials who are jumping on the Burns Bandwagon. Baltimore, MD – Today, Sean D. Burns, Candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates – District 46 announces that U.S. Rep. C.A. “Dutch” Ruppersberger (D-MD-02) has officially endorsed his candidacy.

Ruppersberger, the longtime Congressman for the 2nd Congressional District, which has historically covered most of the 46th Legislative District, is the latest leader to announce support for Burns. Burns worked with Congressman Ruppersberger while he served as Deputy Director of Federal Relations during Governor Martin O’Malley’s administration.
