Councilmembers Bullock, Glover Join Community Leaders in Endorsing Sean D. Burns for Delegate

Councilmen Bullock and Glover, and community leaders Bill King and Ray Conaway are the latest leaders to endorse Burns.

Baltimore, MD – Today, Sean D. Burns, Esq., candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates – District 46 announced that Baltimore City Councilmembers John T. Bullock, Ph.D. and Antonio Glover as well as District 46 Community Leaders William “Bill” King, and Ray Conaway have officially endorsed his candidacy.

“Sean Burns has an unmatched commitment to delivering results,” said Baltimore City Councilman John T. Bullock, Ph.D., (D-9). “With his singular understanding of the legislative process and his history of building coalitions across race, class, and communities, I have no doubt that Sean will hit the ground running and will be a strong champion for the residents of District 46.”

“I cannot think of someone who will be a more effective and tireless advocate for his constituents than Sean,” said Councilman Antonio Glover (D-13).  “I am proud to endorse Sean because I know that his unique skill set and experience have prepared him to serve in the House of Delegates.”

“Leadership is desperately needed,” said Ray Conaway, Curtis Bay Community Leader. Our communities are at a crossroads, and Sean Burns is a leader who will advocate to make our neighborhood safer, cleaner, and greener. A vote for Sean is a vote for a better district.”

“Sean Burns is the only candidate in this race who lives in Baltimore’s City Center neighborhood,” said William “Bill” King, Esq., founder and past president of the Center City Residents Association. “He is a Baltimore native, who grew up visiting Downtown and the Inner Harbor in their heydays. As we enter a period of great change and optimism about the future of Downtown, the importance of having a representative in Annapolis who not only knows the ins and outs of Downtown, but who actually calls Downtown his home, cannot be overstated. For all these reasons, I am excited to support the candidacy of my friend, Sean Burns, for State Delegate representing Maryland’s 46th District.”

“I am completely humbled by the outpouring of support that our campaign has received from leaders within our community,” said Sean D. Burns. “Today’s announced endorsements are a testament to the effort and hard work that our campaign has expended getting our message to voters across the 46th District. I do not take their support lightly. If elected, I promise to work with and for all communities throughout the 46th District to create a safer, more equitable and prosperous Baltimore.”

Burns, an attorney and longtime public servant with over 20 years of experience working in government, has established relationships with community leaders and officials across all levels of government. Today’s announced leaders join a growing list of supporters that includes U.S. Representatives Kweisi Mfume (D-MD-07) and Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD-2). With nearly 20,000 doors knocked so far, and raising over $130,000 in grassroots support, Burns’ momentum is growing.
